Two medical students completed the Capstone Scholarship and Discovery Course in Ophthalmology
Date Posted: Friday, March 17, 2017On Monday, March 6, 2017 the students presented their projects at the 2nd Annual Capstone Project Presentation Day. Rebecca J. Droms presented her project, Uveitis and Immune Activation in the Convalescent Phase of Ebola Virus Disease.
Her advisor and mentor was George K. Asdourian, MD, Professor of Ophthalmology and Director of Education. Viswanath Ramaswamy presented Improvement of Subretinal Space Architecture with Self-assembling Nano Peptides in Retinitis pigmentosa. His advisor was Claudio Punzo, PhD., Assistant Professor, Department of Ophthalmology and Gene Therapy Center.
