The Eye Team Showcases Innovations and Progress in Patient Care for 2019
Date Posted: Thursday, October 17, 2019The Eye Team, headed by clinical photographer Katlyn Champagne, created an original video showing some of their original ideas in enhancing patients’ care in 2019. The UMass Memorial Eye Center idea board theme is: Star Wars.
The Eye Team won the Innovators of the Year Award in 2017 (watch 2017 original video here) and was named as one of the top Sweet 16 teams to win the award in 2018 (watch 2018 original video here)
Eye Team members are determined to win the award in 2019 (watch 2019 original video here) and are therefore showcasing three of 88 original ideas they have successfully implemented in 2019: (1) Team Leads, (2) Ophthalmology Residency Program and (3) The BLUE line. Dr. Shlomit Schaal, Department of Ophthalmology & Visual Sciences Chair, said: “It is truly an honor and a privilege to work with the Eye Team. They are a group of incredibly innovative and motivated people. It is so much fun to watch the creative videos the team made and to have the opportunity to acknowledge the significant progress the Eye Team has made over the past 3 years”.
