PACE Prize Presented at UMass Memorial Medical Group Spring Social Event

Dr. Max Rosen and Dr. Shlomit Schaal presented the inaugural PACE prize at the Worcester Art Museum during the Spring Social Event organized by UMass Memorial Medical Group. PACE stands for Prize for Academic Excellence and Collaboration, a prize that was conceived and developed to help physicians of the medical group be involved in research.

The PACE prize is a $200,000 award that will be given to at least two physicians PI’s who are members of the medical group that collaborate in inter-departmental research. “The PACE prize demonstrates the UMass Memorial Medical Group strong commitment to our physicians, who are clinicians-academicians involved in cutting edge research”, said Dr. Schaal.

The prize is a result of the work of the Academic Excellence and Innovation Committee. Academic Excellence and Innovation is one of the five strategic priorities of the UMass Memorial medical group for 2017/18.
