Involvement of the Eye in Dermatological Diseases
Date Posted: Friday, February 10, 2017On Wednesday February 8, 2017 Dr. Gabriel Luna was the guest speaker for The Quinsigamond Dermatological Society Meeting organized by the Division of Dermatology at UMass Memorial Health Care, Hahnemann Campus. Dr. Luna’s lecture was about the Involvement of the Eye in Dermatological Diseases.
He spoke about Herpes zoster and The Herpes simplex virus as well as Ocular cicatricial pemphigoid and Stevens-Johnson syndrome. His presentation also highlighted the fact that Dermatology and Ophthalmology are highly specialized disciplines that rely heavily on visual inspection and history for diagnosis.
