Dr. Schaal, Chair of UMass Ophthalmology, Invites Local Ophthalmologists for a Meet and Greet Reception at the Beechwood Hotel

UMass Department of Ophthalmology & Visual Sciences invited local community ophthalmologist of Worcester and surrounding areas for a reception last Thursday, November 10th at the Beechwood Hotel. The evening started with a welcome speech from the chairman of the department Dr. Shlomit Schaal to the attendees.

Doctors then briefly introduced themselves to the crowd. The purpose of this initiative was to create opportunities in which ophthalmologist can collaborate in both clinical and research projects. We believe that bringing community doctors together would create a platform in which new ideas can be transformed into reality and would then better serve our community.
