Idanis Berrios Morales, MD - Burncoat House Mentor

Dr. Idanis Berrios Morales was born and raised in Puerto Rico. Idanis completed her undergraduate studies, major in Biology, and later her medical degree at the University of Puerto Rico. She completed her residency in Neurology at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center, followed by fellowship training in Neuroimmunology/Multiple Sclerosis at UMass Medical Center.

She is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Neurology. Idanis is the Program Director for the Neuroimmunology/MS Fellowship at UMass Medical Center. Clinical interest includes the comprehensive care of patients with Multiple Sclerosis focused on shared decision making to achieve better treatment and care outcomes. She is also interested in reproductive health on patients with MS. Her interest in education has led her towards multiple leadership positions including Education Chief Resident during her PGY4 year in Neurology, Education Track leader for the neurology residency program at UMass, member of education committee for the neurology residency as well as small group facilitator for the Organ System Disease course.

 Idanis lives with her husband and sons in Boylston Massachusetts. She loves spending time with family, traveling and like any good Puerto Rican going out to eat.
