Turning Teaching into Scholarship: Strategies for Publishing in the Education Literature

At UMass Chan, we require all faculty to engage in the educational mission of the institution. This means that faculty are busy teaching, mentoring, advising, precepting, writing curricula, assessing learners and evaluating training programs. But how can faculty share their educational expertise? How can faculty move the needle and help advance the fields of medical, nursing and science education? In this Grand Rounds we will discuss educational scholarship and strategies for publishing in the educational literature. Emily Green, PhD, MA, Associate Vice Provost for Faculty Development, will provide an overview of the educational literature and share specific tips on how you can turn your educational activities into scholarship.
