Meet our Current Fellows (2026-27)

Benjamin Cook, MD is originally from Andover, Massachusetts, and attended UMass Chan Medical School. He stayed at UMass where he completed his med/peds residency followed by a year of pediatric chief residency. He is very interested in pursuing a career in both pediatric and adult palliative care. In his spare time, he loves hiking, gardening, and cheering for all the Boston sports teams.

Shir Oring, MD is originally from Israel, but spent most of her upbringing in Rhode Island. After a year of neuroscience research at the Weizmann Institute of Science, she returned home to attend medical school and complete her Family Medicine residency at Brown University. As a fellow, she is looking forward to the opportunity to assist patients and their families through critical junctures and decisions in their medical journeys. During her free time, she loves to engage in musical theater, cook and bake for her family, read, and travel.
