Research Focus - Cell Cycle Regulation

  • Understanding the wiring of the cell cycle-regulatory network that controls the proliferation of normal cells and how this network is disrupted in cancer cells
  • Examining phosphoregulation of the transcription factor network that controls expression of cell cycle-regulated genes
  • Identifying ubiquitin ligases (E3s) and deubiquitinating enzymes (DUBs) that control degradation of cell cycle-regulatory proteins
  • Elucidating the ways in which the cell cycle-regulatory network is rewired when cells are exposed to environmental stress
