Research

Our research focuses on the development of novel computational and statistical methods, combined with experimental technology development, to identify critical genetic and molecular networks involved in complex neurological diseases such as Alzheimer's Disease (AD) and autism spectrum disorders (ASD).

We developed a set of statistical tools termed Orgo-Seq to allow researchers to identify critical cell types and cell type specific driver genes using bulk RNA sequencing and single-cell RNA sequencing data from cerebral organoids.

We are interested in testing the role of viruses in Alzheimer's Disease (AD) and AD-related dementias, through the use of patient-derived brain organoids.
