Diversity

The CODER training program will prioritize continued efforts to recruit and retain postdocs from all backgrounds, including those traditionally underrepresented in medicine. Recent improvements for learners include the Diversity, Representation, and Inclusion for Value in Education (DRIVE) initiative to review and improve curriculum with a commitment to ending bias and racism in all learning environments; integrating Implicit Bias Training/Anti- Racism Training into our community, culture, and curriculum; and revising the Appropriate Treatment of Learners policy.

Cfaculty and trainees in conference roomODER faculty are actively involved in DEI efforts across UMass Chan, including the DEI committee, the Committee on Equal Opportunity and Diversity, the DRIVE Committee, the Women’s Faculty Committee, the Smart Women in Medicine Initiative, the Student Chapter of the American Medical Women’s Association, and the KL2 Diversity Program.
