Research Focus - Elucidating the Molecular Mechanisms that Control Vesicle Membrane Trafficking

  • Understanding the function of regulatory proteins and complexes that provide spatial and temporal control of membrane fusion in exocytosis and endocytosis
  • Dissecting the function of exocytosis regulators in cell growth and division, and intercellular signaling
  • Uncovering critical insights into connections between regulators of the endocytic pathway with autophagy, apoptosis and neutrophil disorders
  • Exploring how upregulation or dysfunction of these regulatory factors contributes to cancer cell growth, metastasis and invasion
