We are thrilled to share that our AIM-AHEAD Consortium Development Project proposal, "DETERMINE: Diabetes prEdicTion and Equity through Responsible MachINe lEarning", was selected for funding. It is a collaboration with UMass Chan Medical School, OCHIN, Inc., Temple University, and University of Illinois Chicago, allowing us to develop responsible deep-learning models for equitable #diabetes #risk prediction across historically marginalized populations. So honored to be part of the AIM-AHEAD Consortium, now named as a major partner of the President's administration on the responsible use of AI. Postdoc and data scientist positions are available for people who are passionate about medical AI research and AI fairness with strong skills in deep learning and natural language processing. US citizenship or permanent residency is required.
