Sign Up For the SNMA Mentorship Program

The SNMA Mentorship Program was created to provide additional support and mentorship to the underrepresented students at UMass Chan Medical School's T.H. Chan School of Medicine, Tan Chingfen Graduate School of Nursing, Morningside Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences, and the Graduate Medical Education office. 

Eligibility & Expectation

All students and faculty at UMass Chan, UMass Memorial, and affilitated UMass Healthcare sites are welcomed join the SNMA Mentorship Program.

We are hopeful that this relationship will have a lasting impact and promote success throughout your personal life and career path. To maximize the impact of this program we expect mentor-mentee pairs to meet monthly for 30 – 60 minutes. Feel free to adjust these meetings as necessary, but strive to meet frequently enough to develop a strong relationship.

Application to be a mentee

Eligibility: All students* are welcome to apply. Students of African American, Native American, Hispanic/Latino American, Hmong, or another minority heritage are strongly encouraged to participate. Upon signing up you will recieve additional details on choosing a mentors and first steps in working together. Mentors are encouraged to provide guidance in navigating academics, setting goals, and more.

Application to be a mentor

Eligibility: The SNMA Mentorship Program is looking for mentors who are interested & passionate about mentoring students who are underrepresented in medicine, science, and nursing. This mentorship relationship can serve to provide your mentee with support in goal setting, academic & career advice, social support, and more.
