Respiratory Distress
Objectives:
- Know clinical signs of respiratory distress.
- Define respiratory failure.
- Know the differential diagnosis of respiratory distress with consideration to age and ways to narrow down the diagnosis.
- Understand acute treatment options.
- Understand how oxygenation is measured, and list the 5 physiologic causes of hypoxemia.
- Describe the differences between various oxygen delivery devices.
