What it is: A list of Point of Care Ultrasound (POCUS) Learning Resources to help you as you adventure through the emergency room and beyond!

Ideal Audience: All residents, PEM fellows

Why It’s Great: Variety of learning resources, free.

How to Access it: Here's the list:

  1. Core Ultrasound:
    • Basic videos of ultrasound approaches; Wide variety of organ systems and procedures
    • Can watch on 1 or 1.5 speed as desired
  2. ALIEMU
    • Free US courses, IV (Vascular), Intussusception, Hip Effusion, Optic Nerve
    • "ALiEMU is an open-access, on-demand, online institution of e-courses for healthcare providers in Emergency Medicine and health professions education. All content on our platform has undergone expert peer review and follows best practices in instructional design for learners."

How much time to budget for this: Varies depending on resource. Would recommend browsing options for 30 min or so and making an individualized study plan. 

Other Thoughts/Comment/Advice: Don't hesitate to talk to the PEM faculty and US fellow for more info/guidance/practice time. You can always plan an individualized elective on POCUS if you'd like to take a deeper dive, using these resources as your materials to supplement your learning.
