WOO Credits: 1.5 hours per topic

What it is: AudioDigest Foundation is a company that creates audio programs with associated multiple choice questions/written summaries with the goal to provide continuing medical education to providers. Audio programs are derived from lectures recorded at conferences across the country.

Ideal Audience: Senior residents

Why it is great: Detailed, very current discussions from leaders in the field. There are a range of topics, from motivational interviewing to recurrent abdominal pain to Kawasaki disease. UMass has a subscription so most content is free to access.

How to access it: Go to http://www.audio-digest.org/ and login with name “lslibrary” and password “soutter.” Click on “my programs” and select “pediatrics.” This presents a list of years. You can pick a year and then pick a topic.

How much time to budget for this: Each topic has 1-3 audio recordings which total 1 hour of listening time.  Reviewing the multiple choice questions/written summary of the topic requires an additional estimated 30-45 minutes.

Other thoughts/comments/advice: There is an application you can download on your phone so that you can listen from your phone.

How to get curriculum credit for doing this: In transition to MedHub. Check back soon!
