UMass Chan is making structural repairs and improvements to the West Garage (employee parking). The project began in September of 2026 and is expected to last two years. 

This project requires the temporary closure of approximately 400-600 parking spaces on a phased basis during that time. Moving that many parkers out of the West Garage has a ripple effect across other parking areas, with some Pine Tree Lot and Plantation Street Garage parkers also getting reassigned on a temporary basis.

All affected West Garage parkers have been notified individually, by email, from the Parking Office with their new (temporary) parking assignments.

All parking permit holders are urged to pay close attention to their email for specific updates and instructions.
