The Division of Hematology-Oncology in the UMass Chan Medical School offers comprehensive evaluation and treatment of blood disorders (Hematology) and cancer (Oncology). Division faculty members work closely with colleagues in surgical oncology, radiation oncology, pathology, radiology, and other experts in the UMass Memorial Cancer Center of Excellence to provide outstanding individualized care in the attractive environment of the University campus in Worcester. Our faculty members also provide care at affiliated and member hospitals throughout central Massachusetts.

Multidisciplinary specialty clinics offer expert diagnosis and care for cancers of the lung, breast, skin, brain, gastrointestinal tract, genitourinary tract, and other solid tumors. Diagnosis and treatment of leukemias, lymphomas and other blood disorders, along with stem cell transplantation, is available at University campus hospital. Expert consultation and care is also provided for benign hematology conditions, including hemophilia and other bleeding and clotting disorders.

The Division is actively engaged in basic, translational, and clinical trials research and offers the latest in cancer treatment with the support of the UMass Cancer Clinical Research Office. Division members are also engaged in laboratory based research and translational research in the outstanding scientific environment of the UMass Chan Medical School. The Division has a fully accredited ACGME Fellowship Training Program in Hematology-Oncology.
