2022 Internal Medicine Residency Orientation

We are very much looking forward to having each of you join our team! Over the next two weeks, you will be in a very robust and information filled orientation to prepare you for what lies ahead during your time with Internal Medicine.

On this site, you will find

  • Links to firm and clinic assignments
  • A survey to complete at the end of the program
  • Lists of Orientation Social Events and RSVP's
  • The orientation schedule (If there are any changes to the schedule, please keep an eye out on your email for notices that the information on this website was updated. 
    • For the sessions with Zoom links, you will need to register for the session via the link provided on the agenda. You will then get an email with the Zoom link to the session.
    • Any sessions that say "All Interns", that means that you will all need to attend.
    • The sessions that do not say, “All interns” means you will be in different locations, rooms, etc. Please review the agenda for where you are expected to be and when.
  • Parking/Badging Information - Once you have your badge, you can park in the Pinetree lot.
    • For those of you coming to campus on June 16th and 17th for BLS/ACLS Certification, please park in the visitors garage on South Street and arrive at least 20 minutes before your training session in the Medical School Lobby and see one of the Administrative Team to obtain your badges. You will be able to badge out of the parking structure when you leave so you will not need to pay for parking.
    • For those of you coming to campus for the first time on June 21st, please park in the visitors garage on South Street and arrive by 7:30am in the Medical School Lobby and see one of the Administrative Team to obtain your badges. You will be able to badge out of the parking structure when you leave so you will not need to pay for parking.

Some things to note

  • Once you have completed BLS/ACLS certification, please make sure you send your cards to Tina Pierce.
  • We will be providing lunches on two days of orientation. Please visit the link here to let us know of any food allergies or dietary restrictions.
  • Once you go through IS training, you will receive your umassmemorial.org email account, and we will only use that account to communicate with you instead of your personal emails.
