We at UMass Chan Medical School are part of a series of experiments being conducted at >17 institutions nationally with funding from NIH Broadening Experiences in Scientific Training (BEST) grants.
National BEST goal (from the NIH RFA): "to better prepare pre-doctoral students and postdoctoral scientists for the breadth of careers in the biomedical research workforce, and to establish a network to develop, share, evaluate, and disseminate best practices within the training community."
