What We’re Looking For

We invite submissions that capture a significant learning moment in your educational journey.

Submissions should include:

• Essays of 800–1500 words
• A narrative centered on a meaningful event, challenge, breakthrough, or relationship
• Reflection on how the experience shaped your approach to teaching or learning

Submissions are accepted as written narratives. Once accepted, authors will have the option to record their piece as audio or video for broader sharing.

How It Works

• Submissions are reviewed by narrative editors to ensure they reflect a clear Lesson in Learning.
• Authors may be asked to revise their work as part of the editorial process.
• Accepted pieces will be published on a HEALL SharePoint site, accessible to the entire UMass Chan Medical School community.

Rolling Review:
After the initial deadline, submissions will be reviewed on an ongoing basis to keep the collection dynamic and growing.
