Class and Meeting Room Information

ROOM NUMBERING KEY

  • S1-123
    • S – Indicates that the room is located on the Medical School side of the facility; H indicates the hospital.
    • 1 – Indicates the floor of the facility.
      • B – B-Level is located two floors below ground level
      • A – A-Level is located one floor below ground level
      • Floors 1 – 8
    • 123 – Indicates the room number on the floor

FREQUENTLY USED ROOMS & DIRECTIONS

Faculty Conference Room

The Faculty Conference Room is used for a number of meetings, lectures and academic ceremonies and is located on the first floor of the Medical School. To access the Faculty Conference Room, enter the building via the main Medical School entrance. The door to the Faculty Conference Room will be on your right upon entering the lobby.

Amphitheatres

UMass Chan Medical School has three main amphitheatres. To access these amphitheatres, enter the building via the main Medical School Entrance.

From the main entrance, take a left at the main corridor and take the second right to locate the elevators .

  • Arthur and Martha Pappas Amphitheatre (Amphitheatre 1): Take the elevator to either the second or third floor and follow posted signs to the entrance.
  • Amphitheatre II: Take the elevator to either the fourth or fifth floor and follow posted signs to the entrance.
  • Amphitheatre III: Take the elevator to either the sixth or seventh floor and follow posted signs to the entrance.

Goff Learning Center

The Goff Learning Center offers a number of meeting and classrooms with advanced audio-visual capability on the first and second floors of the Medical School.

First Floor

  • Lazare Auditorium (S1-607): From the Medical School main entrance, go straight through the lobby and past the Simulation Center; take your first right. The Lazare Auditorium is located down the hall on your left.
  • Hiatt Auditorium (S1-608): From the Medical School main entrance, go straight through the lobby and past the Simulation Center; take your first right. The Hiatt Auditorium is located down the hall on your left.

Second Floor

  • Rooms S2-307 – Rooms S2-309: From the main entrance, take a left at the main corridor and take the second right to locate the elevators. Take an elevator to the second floor. Take a right off of the elevators and another immediate right; the Goff Learning Center rooms are located down the hall on your left. Rooms S2-307 A, B, C, D, E and F are located in the first cluster of rooms; rooms S2-309 A, B, C and D are located together in the second cluster.

Other Frequently Used Rooms

There are a number of other frequently used meeting and classrooms offered by the Medical School.

  • S1-123: From the Medical School main entrance, take a left at the main corridor and take the second right. Walk straight ahead through the bank of elevators, and down the hall. S1-123 will be located on your left close to the end of the hallway.
  • H3-551: From the Medical School main entrance, make a right turn at the main corridor. Follow this corridor to the end, make a left and an immediate right turn to the Clinical Science elevators. Take one of these elevators to the third floor (from the right elevators, make a left out of the elevator; from the left elevators, make a right out of the elevator) and make a left turn into the corridor toward the Hospital. H3-551 will be located down the hall on your right.
  • H4-551: From the Medical School main entrance, make a right turn at the main corridor. Follow this corridor to the end, make a left and an immediate right turn to the Clinical Science elevators. Take one of these elevators to the fourth floor (from the right elevators, make a left out of the elevator; from the left elevators, make a right out of the elevator) and make a left turn into the corridor toward the Hospital. H4-551 will be located down the hall on your right.
  • H5-551: From the Medical School main entrance, make a right turn at the main corridor. Follow this corridor to the end, make a left and an immediate right turn to the Clinical Science elevators. Take one of these elevators to the fifth floor (from the right elevators, make a left out of the elevator; from the left elevators, make a right out of the elevator) and make a left turn into the corridor toward the Hospital. H5-551 will be located down the hall on your right.
  • H4-551: From the Medical School main entrance, make a right turn at the main corridor. Follow this corridor to the end, make a left and an immediate right turn to the Clinical Science elevators. Take one of these elevators to the sixth floor (from the right elevators, make a left out of the elevator; from the left elevators, make a right out of the elevator) and make a left turn into the corridor toward the Hospital. H4-551 will be located down the hall on your right.
  • H7-535: From the Medical School main entrance, make a right turn at the main corridor. Follow this corridor to the end, make a left and an immediate right turn to the Clinical Science Elevators. Take one of these elevators to the seventh floor (from the right elevators, make a left out of the elevator; from the left elevators, make a right out of the elevator) and make a left turn into the corridor toward the Hospital. H7-535 will be located down the hall on your right.
  • H8-534: From the Medical School main entrance, make a right turn at the main corridor. Follow this corridor to the end, make a left and an immediate right turn to the Clinical Science elevators. Take one of these elevators to the third floor (from the right elevators, make a left out of the elevator; from the left elevators, make a right out of the elevator) and make a left turn into the corridor toward the Hospital. H8-534 will be located down the hall on your left.
