Prerequisites: 4th year student 
Elective Description: The student on this elective will work directly under the supervision of Dr. FitzGerald. The student will have the opportunities to 1) See a variety of neoplastic diseases and patients at different stages of their disease process. 2) Become familiar with various aspects of cancer management and treatment techniques with specific emphasis on the role of radiotherapy as an important component of a combined modality approach. 3) Improve physical examination skills in the work-up of cancer patients and to learn to correlate physical findings with radiographic, histologic and laboratory findings in making treatment decisions. 4) Attend oncology conferences/lectures. 
Note: B2/ Students must engage in the type of clinical care carried out by the clinicians practicing in this field but may not have direct patient care as a major feature of the elective.
