Padmaja Surapaneni, MD – Honored with Caregiver Award

Padmaja Surapaneni, MD, was recently honored with an Everyone Is a Caregiver award by Eric Dickson, MD, President and CEO of UMass Memorial Health Care and Patrick Muldoon, President of UMass Memorial Medical Center. The Everyone Is a Caregiver honor recognizes people for "playing an important part at UMass Memorial, everyday."
Dr. Surapaneni was nominated for the award by Tara Kumaraswami, MD from Obstetrics and Gynecology. In the nomination form when asked "What inspires you about her?", Dr. Kumaraswami wrote, "Padmaja was very responsive when I called her about a patient that I possibly may needed her help with. She checked in with me the next day to see how the case went. She also went above and beyond and helped me schedule a patient for an interventional radiology procedure that had been scheduled weeks out and ensured that the patient was seen in a timely fashion."
