Dermatologic Surgery and Cutaneous Oncology

The Department of Dermatology section of Dermatologic Surgery and Cutaneous Oncology offers comprehensive care for cutaneous malignancies including basal and squamous cell carcinoma, melanoma, adnexal neoplasms and other rare tumors. We perform the full array of surgical procedures including excision of benign and malignant tumors, Mohs micrographic surgery, scar revision and dermabrasion.  Dermatology residents each have a weekly procedure clinic staffed by an attending physician or surgical fellow in which they learn basic to advanced surgical techniques in a progressive manner, as well as nonsurgical management of cutaneous malignancies. In addition, third-year residents rotate through the Mohs clinic. The clinic is staffed by our four surgical attendings, a Mohs surgery fellow and our nurse practitioner.
