The Child and Adolescent NeuroDevelopment Initiative
The Child and Adolescent NeuroDevelopment Initiative (CANDI) is a research program in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Massachusetts Medical School dedicated to neuroimaging and treatment studies of children and adolescents with bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and pervasive developmental disorders. Led by Jean Frazier, MD, Vice Chair for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the University of Massachusetts Medical School and David N. Kennedy, PhD, Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Massachusetts Medical School, CANDI is one of few research sites in the country committed to working with children and adolescents with some of the most severe behavioral and emotional challenges.
