UMass Pediatric Neurosurgery Program

The UMass Pediatric Neurosurgery Program provides comprehensive care for children of all ages with neurological disorders.  Our fellowship-trained pediatric neurosurgeon works closely with pediatric specialists in neurology, orthopedics, plastic surgery and other areas to provide comprehensive neurosurgical care for children with a range of neurological disorders, including:

  • Congenital malformations of the brain and spine
  • Hydrocephalus
  • Brain Tumors
  • Epilepsy
  • Craniofacial disorders
  • Sports injuries, head trauma and concussion
  • Vascular abnormalities of the brain and spinal cord
  • Spinal disorders, including disk herniations, fractures, tumors, tethered cord and spina bifida

Our fellowship trained pediatric neurosurgeon works with a multidisciplinary team of pediatric health care professionals to provide the full continuum of pediatric neurosurgical care in state-of-the art medical and intensive care facilities at the Children’s Medical Center at UMass Memorial Medical Center. We leverage our pediatric specialists, pediatric nurses and advanced technologies such as intra-operative neuronavigation, intra-operative electrophysiologic monitoring, microneurosurgical techniques and robotic neurosurgery in order to provide the best care available.
