Division of Endocrinology & Metabolism

Education, Clinical Care and Research

The physicians in the Division of Endocrinology and Metabolism have active outpatient clinics which deliver care to patients with common endocrine disorders, such as diabetes, thyroid and metabolic bone diseases as well as pituitary, reproductive, parathyroid and adrenal diseases. Each of the physicians has a particular area of clinical expertise. Patients are attracted from throughout Worcester County, the Northeast and foreign countries. We have been designated an ADA Center of Excellence.

The University of Massachusetts Medical School offers two-year clinical or three-year research fellowship options in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism providing an outstanding opportunity for physicians to acquire expertise in clinical endocrinology and to pursue a research career in both basic and clinical investigation. There are between 1 and 3 fellowship positions available each year. These are funded through UMass Memorial Health Care and an NIH research training grant. Application information is available through the "Fellowship" site in the side bar.

The Endocrinology Division in collaboration with the Diabetes Division conducts world renowned research at the UMass Medical School campus and in collaboration with other universities and pharmaceutical companies around the globe.
