Brudnick Neuropsychiatric Research Institute

The University of Massachusetts Medical School's Irving S. and Betty Brudnick Neuropsychiatric Research Institute is dedicated to the comprehensive study of the brain and behavior. Opened in 2000, the Institute provides scientists with a state-of-the-art laboratory including fMRI facilities for investigating the nature and causes of mental illnesses. Basic and clinical research studies will translate into an increased understanding of the causes of mental illness and to the development of new treatments.
