Chancellor: Advance cancer research by supporting UMass Cancer Walk

The UMass Cancer Walk presented by Harr Toyota is the largest one-day, single-location fundraising event in the Worcester area. Since 1999, participants and supporters have raised more than $16.7 million for pediatric and adult cancer research at UMass Chan Medical School. The 26th annual Cancer Walk returns to Polar Park on Sunday, Sept. 29.

In a new video, Chancellor Michael F. Collins encourages the UMass Chan community to don their superhero capes, get involved with the walk and advance cancer research.

“Together, we have the power to defeat cancer,” Chancellor Collins said. “This is an exciting and hopeful time for cancer research. At UMass Chan alone, more than 150 clinical trials are underway to find ways to improve cancer treatment, care and prevention.”
