Welcome

Our research focus is on the DNA Repair mechanisms involved in antibody class switch recombination (CSR) and somatic hypermutation (SHM). Both processes are necessary for antibody diversification and an effective immune response, but they involve error-prone DNA repair pathways that can cause genomic instability. We aim to understand the delicate balance between accurate and error-prone DNA repair and how it changes during activation of B lymphocytes.
