What is your role and how does it support the overall institution.
I support the institution’s overall mission in research, education and clinical services through my combined role as a physician scientist, attending endocrinologist and an associate professor of pediatrics.

What part of your job brings you the greatest satisfaction?
I get the greatest satisfaction from my interactions with my patients and their families and seeing these young children and adolescents either recover completely from their illnesses, or acquire the necessary skills to lead normal lives in spite of their chronic health challenges. Secondly, I enjoy mentoring students, residents and fellows in research, and watching their excitement as they publish their early scientific papers.
