What will I learn during this program?

Goal: To teach strategies and techniques for applying comprehensive tobacco dependence treatment within a group setting, including integrating cognitive and behavioral treatment strategies and pharmacotherapy for tobacco dependence.

Objectives: At the end of this program participants will be able to: List the characteristics of group treatment Describe a curriculum outline to be applied in group treatment Demonstrate key strategies for managing the group process List system related components related to establishing group treatment

Where and when will the program be held?

The program will be offered at the Hilton Garden Inn in Worcester, MA on the Friday morning following the our 4-day TTS Core Training programs in April, June and September. To view upcoming dates please visit https://www.umassmed.edu/tobacco/training/other/ce/

What is the cost of the training?

The cost of the training is $150 and includes a participant manual and a light snack.

What are the requirements for attending this training?

This training is recommended for those who have completed the UMass TTS Core Training or other CTTTP-accredited TTS training, OR have extensive experience in 1:1 tobacco treatment.

Do you offer CEUs?

Participants will receive a certificate of attendance documenting 4 TTS CEUs.
