Last call for farm to your table program 2022

The deadline to order a whole season of fresh produce from Stillman’s Farm of New Braintree has been extended to June 3.

So, now’s the time to sign up for the community supported agriculture (CSA) share program organized by the UMass Chan Medical School Offices of Well-Being and Sustainability.

To learn more about the farm and the fruits and vegetables that will be available, and to purchase a share, please visit: https://stillmansfarm.com/product/umassmedcsa/

One CSA share includes 16 weekly deliveries of produce, approximately 3/4 of a bushel each week. One CSA share costs $515. There are still a limited number of shares available.

Shares will be delivered on Wednesdays to the main campus in Worcester and to South Street in Shrewsbury. Shares ordered by staff at MassBiologics will be available for pickup at several locations in Boston.  The first delivery is expected in mid-June, with the program running through mid-October.

For questions about the program, contact Lauren Orsillo at owb@umassmed.edu or Suzanne Wood at growing.green@umassmed.edu .

Dispatch from the farm on May 26: “We are excitedly transplanting young plants from the greenhouses, uncovering the strawberries in the field, and sowing seeds in the freshly tilled soil. The recycled, sustainable boxes have arrived, and we are looking forward to filling them each week with a wide variety of produce grown right here in Central Massachusetts, while simultaneously keeping plastic out of the landfills.”
