Resident Biography
Hometown: Fremont, California
Undergrad Institution: Pennsylvania State University
Medical School: Sidney Kimmel Medical College
Future plans: I’m hoping to pursue a career as an academic pediatric surgeon.
Why UMASS?: I wanted to go to a general surgery program where you get strong enough general surgery training that you could go straight into practice or decide to pursue fellowship (with a track record for placement into pediatric surgery, surgical oncology, etc). I also really liked the faculty and residents when I came to interview and the strong camaraderie.
Favorite thing to do in Worcester: I love to go to the local breweries with my co-residents or spend the day reading and listening to live music at Birchtree Bread Company.
