BiographyHometown: Whitewood, South Dakota Undergrad Institution: University of South Dakota – Cell/Molecular Biology & Physiology Medical School: University of South Dakota Sanford School of Medicine Future plans: My career goals include a long life in neurosurgical, vascular, or trauma surgery. I plan to find a supportive healthcare system, no matter the location, to facilitate both my clinical and research endeavors. Personally, I hope to provide for my wife Emily and my 2 children, Elijah and Evelyn, and be a great husband and father to them. Why UMASS?: UMASS has a long history of excellence in surgical care and is well known for how supportive the faculty and administration are to their trainees. From those I have met so far, early in my training, I would say those judgements are spot-on. It is in a great location with an excellent patient population. Favorite thing to do in Worcester: Coming from the rural Midwest, I love to be outdoors. The parks and lakes here in the area are going to be a perfect getaway to hike or fish in my off time.
