Our Team Presented Our Research Projects at ARVO 2019 at Vancouver, BC, Canada

Our team presented a poster and a talk at the Annual Meeting of The Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology (ARVO) at Vancouver, BC, Canada.

Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences team dinner

Dr. Seddon presented her thesis “Validated Prediction Models for Macular Degeneration Progression and Predictors of Visual Acuity Loss Identify High-Risk Individuals”, which was published in the American Journal of Ophthalmology in February, 2019, for the ARVO AMD-clinical research talk.

Together with Rafael, they also presented a poster, titled "Associations between Perifoveal Drusen Burden and Genetic Risk in Eyes with Early or Intermediate Age-Related Macular Degeneration", for ARVO AMD-clinical research poster session.

The ARVO 2019 meeting theme was "From Bench to Bedside and Back". A total of 13 scientific presentations were presented from the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at the UMass Chan Medical School.
