The mission of the UMass BioImage Data Management and Sharing Core is to provide service, education, and innovation to maximize microscopy data quality, reproducibility, and scientific value for data users per FAIR, CARE, and TRUST data governance principles.

Specific Goals

  1. Support individual labs and imaging core facilities across the UMass Five Campuses to ensure the production and stewardship of bio-image data that meets the highest available community standards for rigor, reproducibility, and re-use value, including the internationally recognized FAIR, CARE, and TRUST data principles. 
  2. Assure compliance with all institutional, state, and federal policies related to research data (e.g., NIH Data Management and Sharing Policy).
