How To Apply

Integrated IR residency

Integrated IR residency applicants should apply using ERAS. Interviews are granted after review of the completed application including medical school transcripts, letters of recommendation, personal statement, and USMLE scores. The education committee performs the interviews and the residency participates in the NRMP match.

Eligible Criteria:

  • Graduate of US or Canadian medical schools accredited by LCME
  • Graduate of US colleges of osteopathic medicine accredited by AOA
  • Graduate of international medical schools with either valid ECFMG certificate or have full unrestricted license to practice medicine in MA or Graduate of international medical schools and have completed Fifth Pathway program by and LCME-accredited medical school
  • Have successfully completed USMLE step I
  • Have completed an internship year – a clinical year in a program accredited by ACGME or Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons in internal medicine, surgery, OB/GYN, neurology, family medicine, emergency medicine, or transitional program with less than 2 months of elective in radiology
  • Be eligible for employment at UMass Memorial Medical Center and licensure in MA.

Independent IR Residency Program

Independent IR Residency applicants should apply using ERAS. Interviews are granted after review of the completed application, personal statement, CV, 3 letters of recommendation, and USMLE transcripts. An IR fellowship committee performs the interviews and the fellowship participates in the NRMP match.

Eligible Criteria:

  • Graduate of US or Canadian medical schools accredited by LCME
  • Graduate of US colleges of osteopathic medicine accredited by AOA
  • Graduate of international medical schools with either valid ECFMG certificate or have full unrestricted license to practice medicine in MA or Graduate of international medical schools and have completed Fifth Pathway program by and LCME-accredited medical school
  • Have completed USMLE step I, II, and III
  • Have completed an internship year – a clinical year in a program accredited by ACGME or Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons in internal medicine, surgery, OB/GYN, neurology, family medicine, emergency medicine, or transitional program with less than 2 months of elective in radiology
  • Be eligible for employment at UMass Memorial Medical Center and licensure in MA.
