Emergency Radiology Fellowship - Curriculum
The Emergency Radiology division is staffed by seven, fellowship-trained radiologists who are committed to graduate medical education. Emergency radiology fellows are vital members of the division, participating in daily patient care and facilitating the oversight, interpretation, and timely reporting of emergency imaging studies. Fellows will also be an essential member in the teaching of medical students, radiology residents and other trainees.
Daily clinical case review sessions are held with ED radiology faculty as a 1:1 session. Didactic teaching of fellows is provided at weekly interesting case conference, biweekly teaching conferences, quarterly quality process improvement conferences and research meetings. Dedicated time is given to fellows for elective rotations with other UMass radiology subspecialty divisions. Fellows have several opportunities to participate in teaching activities for UMass medical students and radiology residents.
