Psychotic Disorders Clinic
The Psychotic Disorders Clinic (PDC) at the University of Massachusetts Medical School (UMMS), UMass Memorial Health Care, provides specialized treatment for adults dealing with schizophrenia – a chronic, severe, and disabling brain disorder – and other forms of psychosis.
The clinic’s specialties include but are not limited to psychotic symptoms, metabolic side effects of antipsychotic medications, and co-occurring substance use problems. Driven by the most recent advances in clinical research, the Psychotic Disorders Clinic strives to help patients achieve their full potential and live rewarding lives.
Psychotic Disorders Research Program
Continued research in neuroscience, genetics, and behavioral science will help us understand the causes of psychotic disorders and how they may be treated, predicted, and prevented. Families and individuals who are living with schizophrenia or other psychotic disorders are encouraged to participate in clinical research conducted by UMMS doctors and scientists.
