Psychology Day 2012

Psychology Day 2012 will be held on November 7 in the Faculty Conference Room, and all faculty, trainees, and staff from all disciplines are welcome to join us.

This is a triennial celebration of Psychology on our campus, organized by the Psychology Network of the UMass Chan Medical School (UMass Chan).

The day begins at the Psychiatry Department’s monthly meeting in the Faculty Conference Room (lunch will be served at 11:45 a.m.).

Events, which kick off at 1:15 p.m., include a welcoming, the Psychology Network awards, and discussion seminars.

There are three seminars to choose from – each focused on “Diversified Career Paths for Medical School Psychologists.” How can psychologists at UMass add research to their career development? How can they acquire a special role in teaching and supervision? Seek to develop a role in departmental, clinical or school administration?

Leaders who have navigated these paths successfully at UMass Chan will discuss the rewards, challenges, and strategies that can help diversify your career development. The format will be informal and interactive.

After the sessions, we’ll gather in the UMass Chan Lobby for posters and social networking.
