Central Massachusetts Addiction Consortium

The Central Massachusetts Addiction Consortium (CMAC) was founded by Drs. Doug Ziedonis, Monika Kolodziej, and Gerardo Gonzalez to provide a platform for collaborative meetings and trainings for faculty, residents, community partners and trainees at UMass Chan Medical School. The group's work is predicated on educating professionals and community members about addiction prevention, treatment, and recovery.

Consortium members meet monthly to network, share resources, and jointly plan events that educate and serve our diverse community.

Consortium members are focused on the needs of families and working on a proposal that may provide services for parents in recovery. The plan is to pilot test an evidence-based curriculum called the “Guiding Good Choices Program,” which could  allow parents in recovery to enhance their parenting skills and acquire tools to communicate about drug addiction risks with their children.
