Pappases Honored for Lifetime of Philanthropy

Arthur Pappas, MD, chair emeritus, orthopedics and physical rehabilitation, and his wife Martha Pappas, PhD, will be honored at the Telegram & Gazette’s 2011 Visions community awards program February 23. The Pappases’ story of giving was featured in the Sunday Telegram and highlighted how the Auburn residents shaped their philanthropic efforts to include the whole community through enriching education, health and recreation opportunities throughout the region. This spring, Auburn officials will cut the ribbon on the $4.3 million Dr. Arthur Pappas and Dr. Martha Pappas Recreation Complex that includes several athletic fields, walking trails, playground, performance stage and concession stage.
