In this most unusual year, when physical distancing guidelines and restrictions on large events prevent us from holding a traditional commencement ceremony under a tent on the campus green, we are pleased to let the UMMS community know that planning is underway to celebrate the many accomplishments and achievements of the Class of 2020.
Virtual commencement ceremonies will be held for the Graduate School of Nursing and the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences on Sunday, May 31. The GSN ceremony will begin at 10 a.m., with the GSBS ceremony following at 12 p.m.
Faculty, staff and supporters are invited to join these virtual celebrations to honor the GSN and GSBS Classes of 2020 by watching live on UMMS’s YouTube channel or Facebook page.
Graduates are encouraged to wear their cap and gown, and to post photos and videos to the UMMS Instagram, Twitter and Facebook pages using #UMassMedical20.
We look forward to celebrating this year’s GSN and GSBS graduates and the countless contributions they will make to the fields of nursing and science as they begin their professional journeys.
