LISTEN: AAMC president’s keynote address to UMass Medical School Commencement

On June 2, Darrell G. Kirch, MD, president and CEO of the Association of American Medical Colleges, delivered the keynote address to UMass Medical School graduates during the 46th Commencement in Worcester. Dr. Kirch reflected on his own experiences in medical school and as a doctor, and he encouraged graduates to accept the challenges they will face in their careers.

“Trying times certainly lie ahead. But when they arrive, the way to do right by yourselves, your loved ones and your patients is to know your limits and to care for yourself and your colleagues. That knowledge and care are key to being the ‘good doctor’ we all aspire to be!” Kirch said.
