Manuel Garber to speak at Lupus Foundation of New England symposium

The Lupus Foundation of New England is sponsoring an educational symposium on Monday, May 6, at the Beechwood Hotel, featuring presentations by clinicians and researchers studying autoimmune skin diseases. One of the presentations will be by Manuel Garber, PhD, associate professor of molecular medicine and director of the Bioinformatics Core at UMass Medical School, who will speak on the intracellular signaling pathways disrupted in skin autoimmune diseases.

Other topics include the regulation of leukocyte accumulation in glomerulonephritis and the pathology of CLE. The full day program includes lunch and a dinner reception with a physician panel and a presentation by Maris Zeppieri-Caruana, known on her blog as the “Lupus Chick.”
