Seven Hills Symphony and Greater Worcester Opera to hold ‘Opera in Concert’ on March 10

The Seven Hills Symphony is teaming up with Greater Worcester Opera to hold its next concert, Opera in Concert, on Sunday, March 10, at 3 p.m. at the Faculty Conference Room at UMass Medical School.

The musicians will be presenting operatic works by Bizet, Mozart, Puccini, Verdi and Wagner. In addition, Andrew Kim, winner of the annual student Concerto Competition, will play Tchaikovsky's Variations on a Rococo Theme.

The Seven Hills Symphony is dedicated to providing performance opportunities to amateur, student and professional musicians throughout Central Massachusetts and Northeastern Connecticut; to providing the residents of those communities with access to high quality, low cost symphonic music; and to promoting music appreciation and building community through their outreach programs.

Performing a varied repertoire under the leadership of professional conductors, the orchestra strives to create a noncompetitive, nonthreatening musical environment that is welcoming to musicians with a wide range of skill levels.

Admission is free and open to the public, with donations gladly accepted to help fund educational opportunities and future performances.
