Submissions open for annual Gerald F. Berlin Prize for Creative Writing

Held through the generous support of poet-physician Richard Berlin, MD, senior affiliate in psychiatry, the Gerald F. Berlin Creative Writing competition recognizes the creative writing talents of UMass Medical School students from all three schools and residents and fellows at UMass Medical School, Berkshire Medical Center, Worcester Medical Center/St. Vincent Hospital and Baystate Medical Center.

The grand prize for the 14th annual competition is $100, a reading at the awards ceremony in the spring, and publication of the winning work. The second and third prize winners will also have their work published.
